Just a note of appreciation regarding our new Best/Osako 368 saddle stitcher. This has been a great investment for us!

The machine has performed flawlessly since your people installed it in February of this year. Frankly, we had no reason to expect anything less, since this is our second Osako 368 (as you know, we have also been happily running an Osako 225 for about twenty years, and the machine is still producing very nicely for us every day). We run the 368 stitcher on two shifts plus weekend work, so it doesn't get much rest. It's smooth, fast and accurate, and the binding work is absolutely super quality, with vey few hitches.

We were basically productive on the machine right away. The 368 is so user-friendly, we were up and running literally in hours. By the end of the first day, our main operator, Rich, was running books at full speed with no snags. He mastered the adjustments, the settings and how to tweak the machine to run fastest on different forms, etc., in practically no time. And setup time is very quick - much quicker than our older machine.

As far as production, this new 368 is running at least one-third faster -even more on some jobs. We've been averaging 10,000-plus books per hour. We looked at a number of other stitchers and in my opinion, the Best/Osako 368 gave us the best value, quality and versatility. It's like a fine Swiss watch - I don't think anything can touch it for the money.

You and your people have been great as far as delivery, setup and training support. Your nationwide service network was a major factor in our buying decision, too. We've got a service rep right here in New Jersey, and with your aggressive new parts stocking program, I feel confident that we're never going to see extended downtime on any of our Osako machines.

All in all, I'm very happy (and you can quote me on that!).
