To Bob Morton, President, Best Graphics, Inc. - Thanks for looking in on us during the installation of our new Best Osako 368 stitcher. As I told you, one of the things that helped sell me on the new machine was our experience with our old Osako, which has been producing for us basically without a hitch for the last 8 years. Because we've never had any significant problems with our old Osako and we really liked the machine, that was a major factor in our purchase decision. Our new Osako is as user-friendly as anything out there. It's a lot like the leading machine on the market, except that you get more bang for the buck. Overall, the new machine is great! We hit the ground running with the 368. Setup is fast and simple. The flying stitch heads give us accuracy straight as an arrow. You don't have the shuttle bar to move the book, so you cut down on the possibility of marking and also on the mechanical complexity. I just finished a 2 million book run, and we never had a jam or interruption of any kind. I like the tilt-back feeder feature, because it gives me the opportunity to set up hand stations instantly without interrupting production. There's more space for the workers, too. Especially for running covers with pockets, it's a lot faster. It picks up production very nicely for us on a lot of the jobs we do. We've had no service issues, so I can't say much that way - but I'm happy to say, you delivered everything you said you'd do on your end. That's a welcome contrast from some service experiences I've had in the past. Again, Bob, here's the strongest thing I can say by way of endorsement for you: I think Osako is just as good and just as productive as the No. 1 brand and for a lot less money. My guys are trained on the Osako and they love it. I've got a part-time operator who comes in to help out, and he really likes the 368, too. I'll take an Osako over what else is out there anytime. Sincerely, Ed Pruett, Bindery Manager |
