Regarding the Best Osako 368 saddle stitcher we purchased from you, I'm happy to provide you with the following:

When we bought the Osako, we really didn't have the work to run it at capacity. However, we were on a growth trend and we needed a better stitcher.

As the next step, we looked at some used stitchers, but they were expensive, well-worn and well-used. You recommended a new Best Osako 368 and showed me how the R.O.I. would work out. When all was said and done, it was a much better business decision for us to go with the new Osako.

It turned out to be a very good decision. We shortly thereafter got a call from a large web printer in the area who heard that we had the new Osako, asking if he could count on us to do a large amount of their work. We said, "You bet!" and even though we didn't buy the machine with the idea of doing other printers' work, we're now doing enough production for this one customer ALONE to pay for the stitcher! Some of the runs are 500,000 and up, and it's great business for us. So now, we're not just a full-service printer, we've become a trade bindery to boot!

We haven't had any problems yet --I don't think we've needed even one service call in the two years we've owned it. However, based on my previous experience with you, it's good to know Best Graphics is standing behind our new stitcher. You've always done an excellent job of supporting us with repairs and training.

The Osako 368 has allowed us to take on a wide variety of things that we couldn't do before. We were able to get a contract for a very sophisticated booklet because of this stitcher -- there are so many signatures and sections, and they're all different sizes and the piece has to be run without a lip. The machine is so flexible, a job can be run with a lip, without a lip, or with a reverse lip.

And the real-world production speed is gratifying. Before, if we could get 2,000/hr. with our older machine (another brand), we were lucky. Now we run consistently at near 10,000/hr.

The machine has a lot of features I like. We have none of the marking problems we used to see with our friction-feed stitcher; the tilt-back feeders are great for hand feed operations; and the cover feeder is so terrific, we sometimes use it just for scoring because it does such a nice job.

Thanks, Bob, for showing us what we needed and all your help and support over the years. The Best Osako is one machine I would not want to be without.
