When I decided to replace an older stitcher, I did quite a bit of research in the marketplace. During this time, I saw your ad for the Osako 368AS in a trade journal and called the toll-free number. We followed up by getting in-plant demos at several different plants, both binderies and full-service printers, to see how the equipment performed in "real-world" situations.

Once I compared, I was sold on the Osako. As our company's president, I always buy the best piece of equipment I can afford, whether it's a press, pre-press, or whatever. In this case, it was a real pleasure, because the best equipment was actually less money than the competition.

As you know, we are a printer of magazines and catalogs, both sheetfed and web, focusing on runs of 5,000 to 100,000. Typically, we run 48 to 96 pages averaging 3 to 8 forms on press. Business is good. I attribute that to our emphasis on customer service and the fact that we stay at the forefront of technology, continually investing in better-engineered equipment across the board --from electronic pre-press, to dedicated FTP file transfer, to presses and bindery.

We are running 3 shifts and the Osako 368AS is our primary machine on every shift. We also have a No. 2 well-known brand machine, but the Osako just blows it away on performance --speed, ease of setup, versatility, all of it.

The AutSet features make the machine much easier to set up, do trim size changeovers, and train new operators. It's much more ergonomic and user-friendly. We like it a lot better than the automation on the other machine. It's great for making changes on the fly while the stitcher is running, which saves a lot of setup time and down time.

The key settings are very easy to get to on this stitcher. Adjustments are on the front of the machine and easy to access. With other machines, you have to crawl around to the back of the machine and practically perform backflips to get into the machine.

The cover and folder feeder is one of the best features on the Best Osako... very well engineered, and it runs seamlessly. Because there are almost no misfeeds, it's a big time and money saver. The lightweight, coated catalog stock we run jams much less frequently than any other manufacturer's machines we've owned.

The Osako's running speed is outstanding. It consistently outperforms our other machine by 30% and more.

Our service experience with Best Graphics was awesome. You came in and had us running in 5 days. When there have been little things or questions, you've been right on it. And, I'm happy to report, we haven't had a single major problem with the machine.

We would definitely do business with Best Graphics again. There frankly are not many companies I would say that about. I don't think there's an outfit we work with that we like more.
